At last

Finally finished the scrapbook for my mum and will post it to her tomorrow.  Forgot to photograph the final page in the rush. Duh!

Just about found time to throw together this card:

I used the template from the CC Challenge blog for inspiration and its good old Popcorn the Bear again. I used both the stamps and the cd papers. Also used the spellbinders dies to make the flowers as I did with the scrapbook. Its a great way to use up scraps of printed backing paper. A quick edging with distress inks and then glam them up with some spray and sparkle. I am hooked!

I did a mountain and valley card from the kids but again forgot to take a picture of it. I think I am going bonkers. It has been a busy few weeks.

Still I have a short break now before I have to make cards for my other half's birthday.

And then its off to the NEC to spend my birthday money!

Nearly done...

I have been busy making a scrapbook birthday present for my mum. As well as being busy working and being a mum.:)

Anyway, here are a few of the finished pages (well I may add a few more embellishments if I find the time).

Cover page

I made the flowers using spellbinders and distress inks. I just loved doing it. Talk about messy and fun. Can't wait to find an excuse to do some more.

Behind the doors...

Just have one more set of pages to complete and then its time to do the birthday cards.

Beatrix Potter - A Winter's Tale

OK, I tried to resist but in the end I gave in and bought the Crafter's Companion Winter's Tale stuff. Not just the CD and stamps but also the card making kit from 3 Birds. That is it. No more craft goodies this month.

Whilst I wait for them to arrive I downloaded the free artwork from the CC website and since I had a few minutes to spare, I threw together the following card.

And then I did this one from some papers from the Making cards for Christmas download...

Now I must get back to Mum's birthday present.

Crafters Companion Challenge

I am currently busy making a mini scrapbook for my Mum's birthday in October so I haven't had much time for card making. I came across the Crafters Companion challenge blog so I thought I would have a bit of fun and make a card for it.

I love Popcorn. I have all the CDs and I am building up my collection of stamps.

It's perfect for my son's birthday next month so I just have to make an insert and a sentiment to add to it now.

My Workspace

I have been crafting for a few years but it wasn't until my birthday last year that I realised just how much it had taken over my life. I used to do cross stitch and tapestry. It was something I could do whilst sitting watching my favourite TV programmes.

Then I discovered papercrafting.

Once I had a small sewing basket that held all my threads, wools and needles. Then the house started getting taken over by piles of paper and tools. Finally my dh gave in and bought me a craft storage cupboard, but not just any storage cupboard for my birthday.

No, he bought me an Original Scrapbox cupboard. Just the mini version but it was great. Finally, I had somewhere to organise and store stuff and put my printer on.

The Original Scrapbox mini.

Of course,  that didn't last long and I was running out of space and so for Christmas he bought me the matching desk.

A work in progress...

Now I had somewhere to play properly. It was once a neat and tidy workstation, but no more...

Messy

 And...

Even messier.

Now to go make some cards.
